About Coronavirus
What it is
Coronavirus is a new virus that has not been previously identified in humans. The first case of the virus has been identified in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. United Nations, Public health officials and partners are working hard to identify the source of the virus.
How it spreads
According to the World Health Organization, Coronavirus originally emerged from an animal source but now seems to be spreading from person-to-person.
Signs and Symptoms
- Fever
- Coughing
- Shortness of breath
- Breathing difficulties
In severe cases, infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure and even death.
